LAUREN
BAGLIORE (pronounced
“bal-your-ray”) is no stranger to design. A
graduate of the prestigious Fashion
Institute of Technology in New York, Bagliore has cut her teeth at some
of the
world’s most renowned fashion houses, including that of VIVIENNE WESTWOOD. The
legendary designer chose Bagliore to come to London and work at her
fashion
house after Bagliore sent examples of her work to Westwood for
consideration. After proving herself
through her design, talent, and wholehearted work ambition, Bagliore
presented to
the CEO of Westwood Studios in Milan and was offered a full-time
position
working with the avant-garde designer at the time.
Working
with VIVIENNE WESTWOOD in London greatly influenced
Bagliore’s design
aesthetic. “I love creating edgy,
fashion-forward designs and clothes that are beautifully draped and
wonderfully
cut,” she says. “I want women to feel
sexy and unique, but also comfortable in my clothes."
Bagliore
went on to work with a slew of exceptional
New York designers, including ZAC
POSEN, where she was a design and sourcing
assistant, and for LIBERTINE,
where she developed production and first samples
by sewing garments, silk screening and
heat-pressing.
